La Taberna del Río is by the Guadalquivir, on the Paseo de la Ribera side of the old town. According to its listing it serves traditional Córdoba cooking with seasonal products, such as salmorejo and rabo de toro, plus creations inspired by Asian cuisine, and it has a rooftop terrace with views over the river.

We loved it for lunch. It is right in the sun, in a busy spot, which gives it a lively, sociable feel, and the food is easy to like. The nachos with guacamole and burrata, the croquetas and the gyozas all got our approval, and the mix of traditional and Asian-inspired dishes is exactly what you can see on our table in the photo.
