Córdoba’s main sights are close together, so most visitors stay in or near the old town. The real decision is which part of it suits your trip.
Choosing an area
The Judería and the streets around the Mezquita put you next to the main sights and the atmosphere of the old town. Centro is livelier and closer to shops, restaurants and the train station side of the city. Quieter residential areas such as San Basilio trade a longer walk for a calmer stay.
In summer, air conditioning and a shaded courtyard or pool matter more than an extra ten minutes of walking.
