Taberna La Viuda

Taberna La Viuda is on Calle San Basilio, the street that gives our old neighborhood its name, so for us it was practically around the corner. According to its listings it combines traditional flavours with creative, original cooking, in tapas and raciones.

For a quiet evening meal, this is a recommendation. The tuna melts in your mouth, and the croquetas with prawns are unbelievably good.

• From the listing, which we have not tried: sweet-potato croquettes, Russian salad with fried egg and an oxtail flamenquín with chocolate sauce
